Mary C. Williamson (nee Ervin), 80, of Media, PA passed away on October 9, 2018. Mary was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She served 6 years in the United States Navy as a Photographer's Mate stationed at the U.S. Naval Photographic Center in Washington, DC. It was during this time that she met her future husband Billy Williamson. They were married in October 1964. After the Navy, Mary went to college and graduated from Radford College. She worked at several companies in the Delaware Valley before retiring, including Moore College of Art and at the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542, where she was benefits administrator. After retiring Mary worked as a librarian for the Ridley Township Public Library. Mary enjoyed crocheting, reading books and traveling all over the world with her husband. Some of their vacation destinations included London, Paris, Spain and the Maldives. They also enjoyed a cruise on the Queen Elizabeth 2 ocean liner. Mary was predeceased by her husband Billy in April 2018. She is survived by her son John (Linda) Williamson, her grandchildren Joel, Bailey and Claire, her sister Patricia Bruce (nee Ervin) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was also predeceased by her parents John Ervin and Mary Schimpf (nee McCausland), her sisters Joan Kelley (nee Ervin) and Roseanne Rypinski (nee Ervin). She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. An interment will be held for both Mary and Billy at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
