Maryann Cornell

Maryann J. Cornell (née Jenemann), 91, of Media, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA passed away on April 25, 2020 at Riddle Village.

Born in 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (née McNulty) Jenemann.

Maryann received her BFA from Moore College of Art and received the coveted Alumnae Association Award for her excellence in artistic talent and scholastic achievements.  She was the Art Director for Wanamaker's Department Store where she illustrated the retail advertisements for print and newspapers.

She was a devoted wife and mother.

Maryann was the beloved wife of the late Larry Cornell until his death in 1998; loving mother of Carol Peastrel (Mark), Kenneth Cornell (Michelle), Dave Cornell (Bernice), Debbie Cornell (Matt Benson) and Chris Cornell (Kate); dear grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 6.

She is predeceased by her brother, Rev. Albert Jenemann, SJ and sister, Barbara Mack.

Due to Covid 19 and CDC restrictions in April, a memorial Catholic Mass will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 11:00am at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary church in Media, PA.

Visitation will be held at 10:30am.
