Matthew David Andrews

Matthew David “Matt” Andrews, age 62, of Ridley Park, PA, passed away on January 21, 2025. Born in Upper Darby, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Lois Mary (nee Saunders) and Matthew Andrews, Jr. 

A steadfast and hard-working individual, Matt embraced life with a spirit that was both generous and gentle. His adventurous nature led him to explore the great outdoors, where he found solace in camping, hiking, and fishing. These cherished moments were often spent alongside his beloved daughter, Jillian, creating lasting memories that would forever illuminate her heart.

Matt's personality was rich with depth—he was tough when needed yet soft-hearted, embodying the very essence of love and family. The holidays were particularly special to him, a time when the warmth of togetherness danced through the air. He reveled in the joy of music, with a particular fondness for Classic Rock that resonated loudly in his home, inviting all to join in on the rhythm of life through tunes blaring from the radio and stereo. Even playing the guitar himself at times with family and friends.

A true enthusiast of culinary delights, Matt could often be found whipping up his famed crockpot spaghetti, meticulously paired with a glass of milk, a tradition he cherished sharing with Jillian. They also enjoyed their outings to Nifty Fifty's. These moments illustrate his profound appreciation for the simplest of pleasures in life, showcasing his loving nature and the bonds he held so dear.

In addition to his passion for family and music, Matt also found great joy in attending car shows with his brother, Scott, where they shared laughter, stories, and a mutual admiration for automobiles that connected them in brotherhood.

Matt was the loving father of Jillian Andrews, caring brother of Scott Andrews, Sr., and adoring uncle of Scott Andrews, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to Matt’s Visitation 9:30-11:30 AM on Thursday, January 30, 2025, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment Private.
