Matthew William Scholz, 32, of West Chester, PA and formerly of Newark, DE passed away on April 6, 2017.
Born in Huntington Beach, CA, he was the beloved son of Donald F. and Kathleen M. (Fischer) Scholz. He was the loving brother of David G. Scholz and is also survived by nine aunts and uncles, and nine cousins.
Matt lived a good part of his childhood in southern California, where he loved exploring the tide pools in Laguna Beach with his younger brother, roller blading and riding bikes along the beach, and lots of other outdoor activities. As a child he played roller hockey and ice hockey, and was passionate about hockey and golf as an adult.
He moved to the DE/PA area with his family but always had "Cali" as he called it in his heart, and lived there again as a young man. He moved back to the East coast to be closer to family, where he completed his bachelors degree in IT and logistics. Matt worked for J & J Cable Contracting as a fiber optics specialist. He loved cars, music, movies, thrill rides and other outdoor activities, enjoying many of these with his family and friends.
