Maureen E. Mink

Maureen E. Mink (née Egan) of Drexel Hill, born February 7, 1943 to the late Francis and Margaret Egan peacefully passed on Monday, October 23, 2023.

Beloved wife of 55 years to George. Loving mother of Maureen (Dan) Walsh, Kate (Rob) Scanlan, Matthew (Mary Kate) Mink, Susan (Bill) Hunter, Chris (Ricki) Mink, Daniel (Danielle) Mink, Maggie (Greg) Fisher, and Beth (Jim) Russell. 

The best Nana to Daniel, Michaela, Maggie, Sean, Robert, Shannon, Colin, Ryan, Patrick, Cate, Sarah, Liam, Kiera, Moira, Erin, Maddie, Angela, Lauren, Sammie, Bryn, Nate, Molly, Abby, Jimmy, Rosie, James, and Frances. 

A wonderful sister to (late) Peggy Ann (Gerry) Boyle, Ginny (James) Murphy, Pat (Sue) Egan, Paul (Barbara) Egan, Richard (Linda) Egan, (late) Barbara and Bruce Spence, Kate (Fran) Joyce, Danny (Krissy) Egan, Beth (Bob) Luke and (late) Jackie Egan.

A proud graduate of West Catholic Girls High School and an exemplary and dedicated employee of Bell Telephone, Maureen excelled in her career. At home, Maureen loved - and was excellent at - cooking and baking. She was a voracious reader and skilled at crosswords. She spent much of her time at her shore house and the beach, surrounded by her family. Maureen valued each and every relationship she had with her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren. Maureen was a devout Catholic, and her faith sustained her through both good and hard times in her life. Maureen spent her life surrounded by love, especially from her husband, George.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA, 610-353-6300, on Thursday evening, October 26 2023, from 6:00-8:00 pm and Friday morning, October 27, 2023, from 9:00-10:00 am. A Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will follow at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, at 11:00 am.  Interment to take place thereafter at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
