Melissa Conlon

Melissa A. Conlon (Missy), age 57, of Havertown, PA, passed away on June 22, 2017. Born in Ridley Park, PA she was the daughter of the late J. Myles and Ann (nee McNeile) Conlon.



Missy graduated from The Academy of Notre Dame De Namur in Villanova, PA., and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. She was a cheery and welcoming presence over many years at Gulliftys in Rosemont, PA. An avid sports fan, she put the "Mad" in March Madness, was a founding Philadelphia Union season ticket holder and a lifelong Phillies fan. Missy loved her family fiercely and a friend once met was a friend forever. She adored adventure and time spent down the shore. She was a free spirit, loved by all, especially children and animals.



Missy was predeceased by her Aunt Dot and her brother Chris Conlon. She was the beloved sister of Jane Conlon-Werner (the late R. Jay), Sally Conlon, Tony (Maureen) Conlon, Robin Conlon-McGarry (Dave). Dear aunt of Myles and Elizabeth Conlon, and her newly extended family members, Brynne and Brad McGarry. Missy also leaves behind her dog "Shadow" and cat "Olive".



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday, June 27, 7:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday, June 28, 9:00-10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA, and to her Funeral Mass Wednesday, 10:30 AM at Annunciation B.V.M. Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, PA. Interment at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Brandywine Conservancy or the Schuylkill Valley Center for Environmental Education Wildlife Clinic.
