Meredith S. Mann

Meredith S. Mann of Springfield, PA passed away on January 4, 2024. Meredith was 43 years old. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank and served as the Information Security Officer. She is survived by her Husband of 18 years Michael, twin children David and Elizabeth 13, her parents Russell and Linda Kinner of Surprise, AZ and Michael’s parents, J. Michael and Sue Mann of Stratford, NJ.  Also surviving are Brothers Eric Kinner (Jenna) of Tavares FL and Anthony Kinner (Karen) of Monclova OH along with 9 nieces and nephews. 

Meredith was born and raised in Holland, OH (near Toledo) and graduated from Springfield HS. She attended Akron University and graduated with a Management Information Systems degree in 2001. She continued her education with an MBA from Rowan University in 2013. While attending Springfield, she participated in the school’s JROTC program and for 3 years commanded the Unit’s female drill team (The Grenadiers) Color Guard. Her team competed in the 1998 National High School Drill Team Championships in Daytona Beach FL and won the overall First Place trophy, a trophy that is still displayed at the school.

Meredith was someone who was always achieving goals and acting as a leader and role model to others, especially other women. This included working in areas typically male dominated such as Information Technology. She provided mentoring to many colleagues and managed by setting expectations and allowing colleagues an opportunity to learn and grow. 

Her leadership and compassion for colleagues permeated throughout her life. Especially important to her was guiding her children towards doing their best, to be kind and self-sufficient.  She put their education first, even trying to weave it into summer vacations with stops at science museums and nature spots. She certainly left a good foundation for them to continue to learn and grow.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Thursday January 11th, 2024 from 1:00PM to 2:30 PM, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:30 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. 

Meredith's family is having a Celebration of Life service in Toledo, OH, her home town on March 23, 2024. It will begin Saturday at 11 AM at Heatherdowns Country Club, 3910 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614 with a Luncheon provided immediately after.
