Michael A. Dunbar, age 72, of Gloucester City, NJ, passed away on February 7, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Francis E. “Dixie” Dunbar and Mary E. Dunbar (nee Keefrider).
Michael was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had been employed as an Administrator in the health care field.
Michael was a loyal, kind, funny, smart and faithful gentleman. His family was important to him. He enjoyed family trips, spending time at the beach in Strathmere, NJ, long walks, crossword puzzles, and his dogs, which he enjoyed taking them to Kennedy Hospital, as therapy for the patients.
In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Richard Dunbar and his sister, Mary Pat McCoy He is survived by his siblings Gregory Dunbar (the late Denise), Paul Dunbar, Ruth A. Dunbar, Theresa B. Dunbar, and Cecilia Oertel (Warren). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Wednesday, February 16, 2022 9:15-10:00 AM at St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Avenue, Primos, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center, 125 County House Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012 would be appreciated.
