Michael Richard "Mike" Farren Sr.

Michael Richard “Mike” Farren Sr., age 76, of Swarthmore, PA, passed away on July 30, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Richard E. and Frances Farren (nee Lyons).

Mike was a proud Marine who dedicated over a decade of his life in service to his country, he exemplified honor and integrity in every aspect of his being. He was the Senior Manager of Defense Systems & Logistics for Boeing, where his expertise and leadership carved a path for success and excellence.

Beyond the confines of career and duty, Mike found solace and joy in an array of hobbies and interests that enriched his life. An avid hunter with unmatched skill in archery, he often retreated to "The Camp" in McKean County for tranquil fishing escapades. His admiration for the grandkids knew no bounds; their sporting events were never missed by their loving Pop-Pop. A fervent supporter of Philadelphia's sports teams – the Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles – he painted his world with loyalty and passion.

A devoted member of the PennDel Archery Club in Bethel Township for an impressive four decades, Mike's dedication extended to nurturing hunting dogs and embarking on annual expeditions to Wisconsin that were filled with camaraderie and adventure.

As family was paramount in Mike's life, his love for them radiated brightly. His grandkids held a special place in his heart that overflowed with pride and adoration. 

Mike was the beloved husband of the late Theresa Farren (nee Constantino); loving father of Kelly Kingsborough (Brian) and Michael J. Farren Jr. (Dawn); adoring Pop-Pop of Juliana, Gavin, Alycia, and Hunter; caring brother of Patricia Carr (Jim) and the late David Farren (Roseanne).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 10:00-11:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
