Michael J. O'Neill

Michael J. O’Neill, age 94, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on November 23^rd, 2023. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Doris O’Neill (nee Brady). He was the son of the late Michael and Bridget O’Neill

Michael worked for over 70 years.  He worked for Canada Dry for 46 years. He was an avid golfer, and after retiring from Canada Dry, he worked for Cobbs Creek golf club for 28 years.

He was a parishioner of St. Matthias Church for almost 70 years. He grew up in St. Callistus parish and remained friends with classmates and neighbors.  He cherished time with his children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed attending their games, recitals and concerts.

Michael was the loving father of Kevin (Patti) O’Neill, Karen (Kevin) Dougherty, Donna (Don) Dougherty, Nancy O’Neill, Paul (Trish) O’Neill, and Mary (Paul) Karwoski; Devoted grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brother William O’Neill and many nieces and nephews. Michael is predeceased by his brothers Eugene, John, and Dennis O’Neill.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing, Thursday November 30^th, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300. His Visitation is Friday December 1^st, 2023 from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at St. Matthias Church 128 Bryn Mawr Ave., Bala Cynwyd , PA followed by his 10:00AM Funeral Mass.  Interment at West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
