Michael McCarthy

Michael J. McCarthy, age 59, of Swarthmore, PA, passed away on August 3, 2018. Michael had a long career with The Conrail Railroad where he worked as a Trackman. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Some of his favorite pastimes included fishing in Cape May, hunting in Ephrata, PA., and riding his Harley. He enjoyed vacationing on the beach in Sea Isle City and loved spending time with family and friends. Michael was the loving father of Jennifer Prichard; devoted brother to Carol A. McCarthy, Kathleen M. McCreesh, Leo B. McCarthy, Jr. (Dorothy) and Christopher J. McCarthy (Denise). He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his parents Leo B. and Pauline (nee Carney) McCarthy, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday, 9:30-11:00 AM followed by his Funeral Service at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA 19070 (610) 544-0600.
