Michael Patrick Nass, age 74, of Philadelphia, PA and Port St. John, FL, passed away on April 20, 2017.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1942, Michael was the beloved youngest son of the late Joseph and Julia (Mount) Nass.
He served honorably in the US Navy in Guantanamo Bay during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Michael was a retired Philadelphia Police Officer, having served from 1966-1988. In his retirement from the PPD, he worked as a Department of Defense Police officer at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and in Key West, FL. For the past decade, he worked as a Security Lead at the Kennedy Space Center, a job which he loved going to every day.
Loving father of Christine Nass and devoted son-in-law Robert Phillips. Dear grandfather of Sophia Phillips. Brother of the late James J. Nass (the late Theresa Rachubinski Nass) and Theresa Dombrowski. Brother-in-law of Frank Dombrowski, of Taylorsville, KY. Uncle of the late Patricia, and survived by niece and nephews, Joseph, Jim, Bill, Frank, Alex, Joyce, and John, their spouses, children, grand children, and great-grand children.

Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA (610) 989-9600 and Wednesday 10-11AM The Chapel of Four Chaplains, 1201 Constitution Avenue, the Navy Yard, Building 649, Philadelphia, PA followed by his Funeral Service at 11AM. Interment Fernwood Cemetery.
