Michael L. Schusler, 72, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully at home on November 2, 2020.
Born September 28, 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a son of the late William Kenneth and Mary (Lindsay) Schusler.
He was a 1966 graduate of Fox Chapel High School in Pittsburgh, PA, and a 1970 graduate of Penn State University. He started his career in sales, a job that would take him to Cincinnati, Denver, Seattle and Cleveland. Following that he shifted his focus to a marketing and project management role that took him to Detroit, and eventually his home of more than 34 years, West Chester. For the past 2 decades, he has worked as a Realtor.
Michael was a sports enthusiast who loved playing baseball and soccer growing up. This passion translated to playing recreational soccer in a men’s league in his 20’s and eventually coaching his children’s youth basketball and soccer teams. Even though Michael left Pittsburgh long ago, he continued to be a passionate Penguin & Steelers fan. Plus, you can’t forget about his love of Penn State Football that can be traced back to his days in State College 50 years ago.
He was the beloved husband of Sheryl A. Schusler (Domm); loving father of Matthew J. Schusler (Heidi L.) and Lindsay E. Raicich (Brian M.); adoring grandfather of William and Hannah Raicich; dear brother of David Schusler, Janet Harris, and Steven Schusler.
