Michele M. O'Brien passed away on Friday, July 18 in her home in Berwyn, PA. She had been courageously battling brain cancer since early 2013 and passed peacefully with her family by her side. She was 49 years old.
The daughter of Francis and Marianne Munjone, Michele grew up in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. Following her graduations from Southern Lehigh High School and Kutztown University, she pursued a career in Communications, working first at NFL films and then StarNet in West Chester, PA.
On February 14, 1995 she married Jeffrey M. O'Brien, of Pelham, NY. They were married in Lake Tahoe while living briefly in Salt Lake City, UT. By the end of that same year, the family had moved back to Wayne, PA where Michele retired from the workforce to focus on raising a family.
Devoted wife and the loving mother of Conor, a recent graduate from Episcopal Academy, and Larkin, who will be attending Conestoga High School in the fall, Michele was actively involved in the school communities and related activities.
An avid reader who was usually surrounded by her books, Michele passionately pursued her interests in the creative arts, including making custom jewelry, and the culinary arts. She was also an advocate for animal welfare and she leaves behind her faithful dog, Sadie. Her quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed by her many faithful friends and loving family.
Michele is survived by her parents, Francis and Marianne Munjone (nee Chernansky) of Epson, NH, her husband Jeffrey M. O'Brien and her children Conor and Larkin of Berwyn PA, her sister Lea Munjone-Stoetzer of Lansdale PA, and her brother Michael Munjone of Manchester, NH.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family on Saturday July 26, 2014 11:00 AM Sacred Heart Chapel (Lower Level) Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 35 Old Eagle School Road, Wayne, PA followed by her Funeral Mass at Noon. Interment will be private.
