Michelina DeFruscio

Michelina T. “Mickey” DeFruscio (nee George) age 90, of Havertown, PA, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Elsie (nee Zacchei) Giorgi.  Mickey was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School, Class of 1947.  She was employed as a cashier for A&P Food Markets/SuperFresh for 25 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish since 1953.

Mickey was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. “Big Al” DeFruscio, Sr.; the loving mother of Albert “Abby” DeFruscio, Jr. (Marybeth), Thomas DeFruscio (Theresa), Judy Ann DeFruscio, Sally Ann Fiore (Gary), James DeFruscio (Laura), Georgeanne Williamson (Jim), and Charles “Chad” DeFruscio (Teresa). She was the cherished grandmother of 26 and great-grandmother of 43. Mickey is survived by her brother Santi Giorgi (Rosemarie) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  She is predeceased by her son, Vincent DeFruscio (Marylou), and her brothers, Lawrence George and Anthony R. George, Sr. and her sister Philomena Triboletti.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Tuesday, September 29, 2020 9:30-10:50 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Wilson Avenue, Havertown, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.   Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

Per the CDC Guidelines and the State of Pennsylvania, masks are to be worn when visiting the family, to the Funeral Mass and Cemetery.   Social distancing is to be observed.
