It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Michelle Ciabattoni (née Hofmann), who passed away peacefully in her home on December 21, 2024, at the young age of 40. Michelle was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Born and raised in Havertown, PA, Michelle was the beloved daughter of the late Ray Hofmann and Karen Hofmann (née Driscoll). From an early age, she exemplified kindness, resilience, and a sense of adventure that would define her life.
Michelle was an incredible mother to her beautiful children, Stephen and Caitlyn, raising them to be loving, respectful, and hardworking. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children—whether cheering from the sidelines, enjoying the beach, creating memories at home, or embarking on unforgettable family vacations.
Michelle graduated from Ursinus College with a degree in business and international relations. Her adventurous spirit led her to join the Peace Corps after college, where she devoted herself to helping the less fortunate in the country of Suriname. Upon returning home, she built a successful career as a fraud analyst in the payment processing industry. In her greatest adventure, Michelle and her husband moved across the country to California, where they started a thriving business in the payments industry and built a beautiful life together.
Michelle was the beloved wife of Steve Ciabattoni; loving mother of Stephen and Caitlyn Ciabattoni; dear sister of Jennifer Ward (Jim) and April Giordano (Michael); caring aunt of Drew, Meghan, Connor, Rayna, Lina, and Gavin; also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Steve and Monica Ciabattoni, and her brothers-in-law, Matt Ciabattoni (Lauren) and Andrew Ciabattoni.
