Mr. Brian Stewart

Brian David Stewart, age 53, of Columbia, SC, formerly of Wayne, PA passed away on January 9, 2017.
Born in Detroit, MI in 1963, he was the beloved son of David Arthur and Nancy (nee Moyer) Stewart.
Brian graduated from the University of South Carolina, where he received his B.S. in Physical Education and his M. Ed. in Education. He was a gym teacher at Ft. Jackson Elementary School. Brian was at his best when on the playground teaching his students not about gym, but about respect for others. He loved teaching, fishing, and golfing. Eagles Mere was a special place that Brian could accomplish all those things, as well as prepare his wonderful omelettes. Peeper was a kind soul with an easy going smile and genuine southern charm.
Brian was the loving father of Charlotte (Ryan) Metcalf and Anna Stewart; dear brother of Christopher Stewart and Tracy (John) Branchaw.
There will be a private family service in the spring.
