Merlino Charles Merlino, age 86, of Folsom, PA, died on April 24, 2011 at Taylor Hospice Residence. Born on May 26, 1924 in Pottsville, PA to Salvatore and Concetta Merlino. Mr. Merlino was an airplane mechanic for 35 years for United Airlines at the Philadelphia International Airport. He was a veteran of the US Air Force during W.W. II. He was a self taught musician and played the accordion. He did musical solo acts at Termini Bakery in South Phila. He was also a wonderful conversationalist. SURVIVORS: Wife-Marie Riotto Merlino of Folsom, PA. Children-Salvatore J. Merlino (Judi) of Swarthmore, PA, Donna Marie Gargiulo (Paul) of Ridley Park, PA, Michael C. Merlino (Terry) of Holmes, PA and Joseph D. Merlino Albuquerque, NM; Sister-Ida Phillipine of Wyomissing, PA. Also survived by 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. SERVICES: Life celebration on Friday evening from 6-8pm and Saturday morning from 9:15-10:15am at James F. Knoetgen of Morton 746 Kedron Avenue (Route 420), followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Madeline Church Penn Street and Morton Avenue Ridley Park, PA. Interment will be private.
