Mr. Douglas Kloppenburg
August 7, 1957 — June 26, 2016
Douglas O. Kloppenburg, 58 years of age, of Malvern, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2016. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was the son of Robert K. Kloppenburg Sr. and Gertrude Viall Kloppenburg.
Douglas was the loving husband of Krista E.H. Kloppenburg and father of Abigail Osborn Kloppenburg, Emma Steele Kloppenburg and their dog, Maya. Doug was the brother of Katherine Kloppenburg (Rodger), Robert Kloppenburg, Jr. (Susan), and Stephen Kloppenburg (Stephanie). He was the son-in-law of David and Susan Halling, brother-in-law of Heidi Adams (David), and Kimberly Koltonowski (John). He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Doug was a Senior Vice President at Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth, where he was well respected by his clients and colleagues. He was profoundly committed to whatever he did, and approached life with incredible determination and optimism. Anyone that knew Doug could see that his greatest pride and joy were his two beautiful girls and his wife, Krista. He will be remembered for the way he lit up a room with his infectious smile.
A memorial service will be held for Doug at Wayne Presbyterian Church, 125 Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087, on Wednesday, June 29th, at 2:00 PM.
A separate celebration of life for his friends and family in Wisconsin will be held in future weeks.
