Mr. Edward Contaldi

Contaldi Edward F. Contaldi, 84, of Glenolden PA. was a U.S. Army Veteran, he died peacefully on December 8,2011. Edward was born in Brooklyn NY in 1927. He married the late Rita Widener in 1952, and settled in Glenolden the same year. He worked for 42 years in the supermarket industry winning Penn Fruit's Merchant of the Year award in 1969. He retired in 1992 , spending his time with family and developing his great talent for creative writing. After his wife Rita's death in 1998, he married Janjira Smeejang in 2002. He is the beloved father of Margaret ( James) Lawson of West Chester, Kathleen ( Robert) Rosano of West Chester, and Edward ( Catherine Passante) Contaldi Jr. of Philadelphia. Loving grandfather of Joseph and Megan Wozniak, Robert and Cristina Rosano and Dominic and Anthony Passante - Contaldi, brother of Gennaro Contaldi , JoAnne DiSimone, Antionette Randazzo, and the late Joseph and Robert Contaldi.
