Mr. Hugh Gillen

Gillen Hugh J. Gillen, 76, of Morton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Dec 13, 2011. He was the son of the late Joseph and Jen (nee Doonan) Gillen. One sister Rita Monteith predeceased him. Hugh retired from Boeing Aerospace Company in 1999 where he was a machinist. He was a member of the American Legion, John Wesley Cross Post # 507 in Norwood. He also enjoyed Boating, playing the guitar and the keyboard. He was also very talented with photography and working with computers and making videos for his family. Survivors: His wife of 47 years Marilyn (nee Ryba) Gillen. Children Jennifer (Robert) Thornton of Folsom and Kelly (Terrence) Hill of Drexel Hill. Grandchildren Brian and Robert Thornton, Jr. and Samantha Hill, siblings Joseph Gillen of AR, Harry Gillen of Oxford, Jane Nocito of Drexel Hill, Mary Gillen of GA. and Clare Gillen of Elwyn. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to Hugh's Life Celebration Saturday Dec 17, 2011, 9:30-11AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Ave, Morton, PA 19070 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
