Mr. James Harrar, Jr.

Harrar James C. Harrar Jr., age 49, died on September 12, 2011 at home in Wallingford, PA., surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 24, 1962 in Ridley Park, PA to Lois Harrar and the late James C. Harrar Sr. Jim was an United States Postal Employee at the West Chester Branch. He graduated from Ridley High School and attended Spring Garden College and Delaware County Community College. He was a member of the Transfiguration Bowling League for 30+ years, The Springhaven Club, avid Philadelphia sports fan, but most of all; he enjoyed coaching, encouraging and playing sports with his sons J.T. and John. SURVIVORS: Loving husband of Susan Pholeric Harrar of Wallingford; beloved father of J.T. and John; brother of Michael J. Harrar (Lee) of Arlington, VA, Donna E. Bauer (Kevin) of Upland, PA, Dianne R. Royal (Allan) of Norwood, PA and Dawn M. Long (David) of Wilmington, DE; brother-in-law of Doris Anne and Larry Gruel of Kingsville, MD; Also, survived by many nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim's life celebration on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 9-11am at St. John Chrysostom Church 615 South Providence Road Wallingford, PA, followed by his memorial mass at 11am. Interment Edgewood Memorial Park.
