Mr. John Freeman, Sr.
August 14, 1932 — November 7, 2015
John F. Freeman Sr., age 83, of Exton, formerly of West Chester, PA, passed away on November 7, 2015.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John U. and Catherine Freeman (nee Timmons).
He was a graduate of Olney High School and Villanova University. He was employed for 30 years as a Toxicologist for Smithkline Beecham and retired in 1993. He served in the United States Navy during The Korean War.
John enjoyed music of all varieties and spending time with his family.
John was the beloved husband of Joan Freeman (nee Murphy) of 52 years. He was the loving father of John F. Freeman Jr. (Deborah), Joanne M. Sherwin (David) and the late Kathleen Freeman. John was the brother of Robert Freeman (Celia) and Cecelia Seifert and dear grandfather of Leah, James, Katelyn and Dylann.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Wednesday, November 11, 2015 9-10AM, The Donohue Funeral Home 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA (610) 431-9000 followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30AM, SS Simon and Jude Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Boys Town Charity, 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, Nebraska 68010.
