Mr. John Kirsch, Jr.

August 13, 1928 — November 5, 2016

John I. "Jack" Kirsch, Jr., age 88, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on November 5, 2016. Born in Oak Park, IL, he was the son of the late John I. Kirsch, Sr. and Selma (nee Adelberger).



Jack served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.



Jack loved the Jersey Shore. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, playing games, and spending long days on the beach. He enjoyed trains and model railroads. He was a member of The Pioneers Club from his Bell Atlantic days. He loved baseball, especially the Phillies. He loved his family, grandchildren, and his great grandchildren.



He is survived by his beloved wife Mary E. (nee Dolan) Kirsch, his loving children John I. Kirsch III (Leslie) of Newtown Square, Mary Beth Birkenmeier (Rick) of Havertown, Paul M. Kirsch (Dawn) of Malvern, Mark E. Kirsch (Michele) of Long Beach, MS, his grandchildren Christopher J. Kirsch of Port Charlotte, FL, Jennifer Birkenmeier Keenan (Michael) of Havertown, Melissa Birkenmeier Allen of Havertown, Sarah Birkenmeier Murray (David) of Jenkintown, Paul Michael Kirsch of Las Vegas, NV, Anastasia E. Kirsch (Kevin) of Malvern, Gabrielle M. Kirsch of Malvern, Justin Walsh of Norwood, PA, Sean Kirsch of Albuquerque, NM, his siblings Selma Hurley McNabb of Rosemont and David T. Kirsch (Hannah) of Springfield. He is also survived by his four great grandchildren, Emmaline and Eloise Keenan of Havertown, and Joshua and Benjamin Murray of Jenkintown.



Jack was also pre deceased by one brother, Joseph P Kirsch and three sisters, Mary K. Dillon, Sr. Marita David (Toddy) IHM, and Sr. June Kirsch, SND.



Relatives and friends are invited his viewing Wednesday, November 9, 2016 9:30-10:50 AM SS. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382 and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory to Camilla Hall, 1145 W. King Rd., Malvern, PA 19355, would be appreciated.
