Joseph M. Zimmerman, 60, of Havertown, PA passed away on February 19, 2016, surrounded by his family.
Born in 1955 in Darby, PA. Joseph was the beloved son of Joseph E. and Katherine "Kay" (Brennan) Zimmerman.
He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Pagel) Zimmerman; loving father of Allison Dudley (Jess), Andrew Zimmerman (Clare), Kristen Flynn (Daniel), Cathryn Zimmerman, Maura Zimmerman, Joseph Zimmerman, Kevin Zimmerman; dear grandfather of Sam and Savannah; dear brother of John Zimmerman, Robert Zimmerman, Richard Zimmerman, Kathryn Zimmerman and Marie Bedard. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was a self-employed residential painter based in Havertown, PA. Joseph was an avid reader, master of crosswords, and classic rock encyclopedia.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday Eve 6:00-8:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 W. Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082 and Wednesday 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Bernadette's Church, 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Int. Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, 2570 Blvd. of the Generals, Suite 124, Norristown, PA 19403.
