Mr. Leo Neelan

Neelan Leo J. Neelan, 77, passed away at his home in Springfield on December 11, 2011. He was the son of the late Vernon and Margaret Frances (Connelly) Neelan. His brother James predeceased him. He attended Pittsburgh Areonoutics School. He was employed with United Airlines as a lead mechanic for 38 years and received his Bachelors Degree from ST. Josephs University at night while working and raising his family. He enjoyed taking care of garden every year with his wife Sharlene. Leo volunteered in the community as a member of the Lions Club, Ambulance Corps; and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors: His wife of _51__ years Sharlene (nee Precopia) Neelan. children Susan L. (David) Loyola of San Antonio, TX., Joyce A. (Mark) Volpe of Media, Margaret F. (Kevin) McGuckin of Springfield and Richard J. (Lauren) of Media, Grandfather of 11. one sister Patricia Neelan Wegner of Wallingford and one brother John V. Neelan of Phila Services: Relatives and friends are invited to Leo's Life Celebration Wednesday Dec 14, 2011, 6-8PM and Thursday 10:30-11:30AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Ave, Morton, PA 19070 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM.
