Mr. Norbert Sykes

Sykes Norbert John Patrick Sykes, 86, of Morton, passed away on March 17, 2014 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Norbert was the husband of Dolores J. Cipollini Sykes and the late Anne C. Passarella Sykes. Norbert Served in The Army Air Corps and then the US Air Force during the Korean War. After his retired from the Air Force he then worked in security at ACME Markets and then Warehouse & Bakery. He was a member of the Police Chiefs Assoc, Air Force Assoc and the 5th Comet Retires Assoc. Norbert was an active member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Secane and was a crossing guard at Amosland School. He enjoyed Nascar and fishing and loved Baseball and Trains Survivors: along with his wife Dolores he is survived by his children Richard M. of Perlin, NJ, Gary W. (Karen) of Pilesgrove, NJ, Kelly Sykes of Holmes and Christopher Sykes of Morton, Step-children William Young of TX, Debbie Talarico of Chester County, Mark Young of Coatesville and Donna (Kurt) Rahner of Chester County. Also 8 grandchildren. Services: Friends are invited to Norbert's Life Celebration Thursday 6-8pm and Friday March 21, 2014, 10:30-11am at James F. Knoetgen of Morton, 746 Kedron Ave (Rt. 420).
