Robert Marshall Loucks, age 94, was called home to our Lord on April 26, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Frances and parent of daughters Elaine (dec) , her husband Don of Ohio and Roberta (Abrams) and her husband Frank, of Ridley Park. Bob had one brother, James (dec.) Bob was a grandfather, great-grandfather and loving uncle and great uncle. Born on July 11, 1916 in Toledo, Ohio. Bob also resided in Cincinnatti, Ohio and Erie, PA where he worked for GE Corp. Bob was a devoted parishioner of St. Madeline Parish in Ridley Park, PA. Bob was well known and dearly loved by many, many friends and especially in his former town of Ridley Park. He was an active member of Young at Heart senior group and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Devout, proud and upstanding member of the AA Fellowship. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing, and learning from him. Bob's very special friendships will be missed by dear friend Alice, and dear friend and recent caregiver Sue, both from St. Madeline Parish. Before his illness, Bob loved his walks to daily mass at St. Mad's, where on his way he greeted and befriended many along the local business district, local train station, school children and crossing guards. Bob enjoyed sitting on the park bench reading and savoring his favorite snack of a bananna. Bob also especially enjoyed the beautiful flowers and trees that seasonally blossomed in the Ridley Park area. Bob also had many friends with good conversations and laughs at Taylor Hospital. Before God called Bob home, God's will enabled Bob to attend the 10 am mass on Easter Sunday, where Bob's heart was utterly filled with joy. The Easter Triduum was Bob's most treasured time of the liturgical year. Praise God for that magnificent gift. Family and friends are invited to Roberts Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning 10am at St. Madeline Church, 110 Park Street Ridley Park PA. Interment PRIVATE Gestures of love in Bob's memory may be made to the St. Madeline Memorial Fund (address above). To those in the fellowship, a tender memorial to "put a buck in the basket".
