Dorothy ("Dottie") Mae Walker, 89, of West Chester died on Friday, January 12, 2018 at her home in Westtown, PA.
Born in Yorklyn, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Chandler and Anna Walker.
Dottie was a graduate of Pierre S. duPont High School. She moved to West Chester, PA with her husband Robert C. Walker in 1963 where they established the family home.
In addition to devoting her life to the care of her husband and three sons, Dottie also pursed a working career consisting of various positions in Obrien's Automotive, National Liberty Insurance and QVC, where she retired from full time work at age 84. Dottie also pursued a successful theater and singing career with the Barley Sheaf Players and Forty-Niners and acted in productions of local favorites such as "Oklahoma" and "Annie Get Your Gun".
Dottie is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Robert and Karen Walker of Harrisburg PA, David and Jan Walker of New Boston, Texas, Mark and Kris Walker of West Chester, PA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, January 20, 2018 followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Thornbury, PA. Interment at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery in West Chester.
