Elizabeth S. Golden (nee Sim), age 85, of Upper Darby, PA, formerly of Franklin Lakes, NJ, passed away on August 13, 2016. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late James and Marion Sim (nee Turner).
Elizabeth was a graduate of Pompton Lakes High School in New Jersey. She was employed for Wyckoff Township in New Jersey and retired in 2001.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas J. Golden, Jr. and her loving daughter Elizabeth Rose Golden. She is survived by her children Thomas J. Golden, III (Helen), Barbara L. Golden and Kathleen M. Arsenault (the late Dean) and her 6 grandchildren.
"Mimsey" loved babies and was a devoted grandmother.
Betty, as she was known to her friends, loved animals and mothered many cats and a few dogs over the years. She was a skilled crafts-person, doing incredible cross-stitching and sewing. Her home was always an oasis of beauty and calm.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, August 19, 2016, 9:30-10:20 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment is private.
