Mrs. Helen Trieste

Van Trieste Helen M. Van Trieste (nee Harrison), age 85 of Springfield, PA and formerly of Rutledge and Collingdale, PA passed away peacefully at home on September 18,2013. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert J. Van Trieste. Loving mother of Mary Lou Popiel (Paul) of Norwood, PA, Robert (Glory Gaston) of San Juan , Puerto Rico, Denise Nedelka (Terry) of Springfield , PA, Helene Schmidt (Mark) of Simsbury, CT and Paul (Karen) of Easton, MD. Cherished grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 7. Dear sister of Frank Harrison , Mary Reeser, and the late Joseph Harrison Jr. Helen was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA. She enjoyed baking , cross stitching, and sewing. She volunteered much of her time , whether it was at Cardinal O'Hara's library, or Our Ladyof Perpetual Help's School and Church.Helen adored her grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to Helen's Life Celebration on Monday, September 23,2013 from 10 to 11 AM in St. Kevin's Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM. Interment Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen's name may be made to Taylor Hospice, 300 Johnson Ave, Ridley Park, PA 19078, for the wonderful care in which they gave and her family is forever grateful.
