Mrs. Julia Cugnini

Julia Rose Cugnini (nee Vagnoni) on February 13, 2016 of Strafford, PA.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Cugnini; dear mother of Janet Morrison (Jack), Joan Kabat, and Joseph Cugnini; also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Julia's first love was her family. She was married to her beloved husband Joseph for 49 years. In her home she willingly cared for both her and her husband's parents throughout their later years. She was always the first to offer thoughtfulness and hospitality to countless family and friends.
Her signature line was "come in for a cup of tea" even at the age of 94! No one could ever escape her home without being fed a pound of pasta followed by an oversized sticky bun. Julia enjoyed playing Chinese checkers with the neighborhood ladies, attending bible classes, and reading the "Inquirer" cover to cover. Her love of gardening showed through her beautifully kept flower beds and rock gardens.
Julia's face would light up each time she saw her 4 granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren. Whether it was watching videos of them from Texas or a visit with Julianna, they could bring a smile to her face and make her laugh no matter how tired "great gammy" was feeling.
Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren remember her fondly and will miss her dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:00-10:20 AM Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Our Lady of Assumption Church (Sacred Heart Chapel), 35 Old Eagle School Rd, Strafford, PA followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Int. Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Meals on Wheels, 235 Lancaster Ave, Ste 501, Devon, PA 19333.
