Carzo Marian Sgariglia Carzo Of Rose Valley, PA, died peacefully on August 7, 2012, after a short illness. Marian was born in Crum Lynne, PA, on October 29, 1922. Daughter of Mary and Pasquale Sgariglia, Marian graduated from Ridley Township High School in 1941, and was an active member of the Alumni Association for her class. During World War II she worked at Baldwin Locomotive Works, and owned and operated Pat's Steak Shop, Aston, from 1955-1961. Marian was a member of St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church and was active in the Widows Group there. Marian's love of her family, generosity of spirit and warm hospitality marked her life. Family and friends always came first, and she happily and tirelessly worked to ensure that everyone was well fed and every need met - in her kitchen and beyond. Nothing made her happier than entertaining a table full of people who were talking, laughing, and enjoying her fabulous traditional Italian dishes. Marian is predeceased by her husband, Pasquale J. Carzo, and her sister, Antoinette Olivieri. She is survived by her son, Pasquale, and his wife Eileen of Wilmington, DE; her daughter, Rita Cuscavage of Rose Valley; three grandchildren: Edward Cuscavage of Seattle, WA; Maria Cuscavage of Philadelphia, PA; and Christine Carzo of Brooklyn, NY; her sister, Lucy Colavecchi of Claymont, DE; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and one great-grandniece. Relatives and friends are invited to Marian's Life Celebration in James F. Knoetgen Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA on Friday, August 10, from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church, 615 South Providence Road, Wallingford, PA, at 10 am on Saturday, August 11. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Chester, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Associazione Regionale Abruzzese Delco Scholarship Fund, P.O.
