Marie Merlino, age 90, devoted wife of 63 years, died at her home surrounded by her family on June 5, 2014. Born on February 12, 1924 in Pottsville, PA to Vincent and Mary Riotto. Mrs. Merlino is best known for her love of friends and family, the love of her grand and great grandchildren, and the tenderness with which she interacted with others. Mrs. Merlino is also best known for her love of humor, conversation and travel. Beloved wife of the lateCharles Merlino. Loving mother of Salvatore J. Merlino (Judi) of Swarthmore, PA, Donna Marie Gargiulo (Paul) of Ridley Park, PA, Michael C. Merlino (Terry) of Holmes, PA and Joseph D. Merlino of Scottsdale,AZ; Dear Sister of Dominic Riotto and Rose Tucci. Devoted grandmother of 5 and great-granmother of 9. Relatives and friends are invited to Marie's Life Celebration on Sunday, June 8,2014 from 6 to 9 PM and Monday June9, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 in James F. Knoetgen of Morton 746 Kedron Avenue (Route 420), followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Our Lady of Fatima, 1 fatima Dr., Secane , PA 19018 PA. Interment will be private.
