Mr. Stephen Pelkey

Pelkey Stephen E. " Pelk" Pelkey , age 56, of Holmes, and a lifelong Ridley Township resident passed away January 11, 2014. Beloved son of Fay Pelkey (nee Mellon) and the late Chester B. Pelkey. Loving father of Stephen Lucas and grandfather of Joseph Lucas. Dear brother of Susan (Joseph) Cranston of Garnet Valley, PA and Margaret (Lawrence) Bowers of Chesapeake, VA. Stephen was a graduate of Ridley High School and Penn State's University's Ornamental Nursing and Horticulture Program. He was the owner of DELCO Tree Experts of Swarthmore, PA. He was an accomplished musician who played various instruments in a number of local bands. He was a simple , kind man who enjoyed music and long walks, many around the Swarthmore College campus. Relatives and friends are invited to Stephen's Life Celebration on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 10 to 11 AM in James F. Knoetgen of Morton, PA, 746 Kedron Ave.(Routee 420)., Morton , PA 19070 and his memorial service to follow at 11 AM . Burial is private.
