Rumsey Virginia Ney Rumsey "Ginny", 90, passed away on Sept 24, 2012 surrounded by her family at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Ginny was the wife of the late William Potter Rumsey, Sr. MD Ginny was born and raised in the Pottsville area, upon her graduation from High School her family moved to Chester where she went to Nursing School. Ginny then worked in the Operating Room of Chester Hospital as the Supervisor where she met her future husband William Potter Rumsey, Sr, MD. Ginny and Potter raised their family in their home in Wallingford and their summer home on Long Beach Island. They were one of the founding members of St John Chrysostom Church in Wallingford and a member of the Springhaven CC. Ginny enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, scrabble and solitaire on the computer. Ginny was an avid pianist and was a Chopin enthusiast and lover of classical music. She was also an avid sailor who enjoyed her time on the family boats "Penelope" and later "Penelope II", where they sailed the Chesapeake and Barnegat Bays, Ginny was an avid traveler. She visited places like Australia, New Zealand, Bermuda, the Virgin Islands and Alaska. Ginny is survived by her children Maureen R. (Richard) Brown of Long Valley, NJ, Barbara R. (Thomas) Fallon of LaGrange, IL, Joanne R. (Walter) Jenkins of Lower Gwynedd, William Potter (Carol) Rumsey, Jr of Glen Mills and David A. (Tim) Rumsey of Phila. Also survived by ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to Ginny's Life Celebration Friday 7-9PM at James F. Knoetgen of Morton, 746 Kedron (Rt. 420) and Saturday 9:30-10:30am at St John Chrysostom Church, 615 S. Providence Rd, Wallingford, PA 19086. Followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.
