Zahka Vivian (nee Karsa) Zahka, 84, of Swarthmore, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved Wife of the late William J. Zahka who passed away on September 12, 2013, and a Daughter of the late Marie and Michael Karsa. She was also preceded in death by her Son-In-Law, the late Mark Michel, and her Sister Gloria. She enjoyed working at Widener University for a few years with the International Students where she developed special friendships, and she also worked as a Travel Agent which helped her and her Husband Bill enjoy many memorable vacations together. She loved playing cards and going to the casino to play the slots, and one of the biggest enjoyments in her life came from spending time with her family and friends. Vivian is survived by her Daughters; Tina Michel, of Milmont Park, and Carrie Doheny, of Wallingford, her Granddaughters; Nicole and Stephanie, her Siblings; Albert and George, and many Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services and inurnment at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, Pa., will be held privately by her family. The family has respectfully requested that anyone wishing to do so may make a memorial contribution in Vivian's name to either the William J. Zahka Scholarship Fund at Widener University, or to the Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital, 175 East Chester Pike, Ridley Park, Pa., 19078, which would be deeply appreciated by her family.
