Myrtle Canelle

Myrtle L. Canelle, our dearly loved Sister and Aunt, and wife went to be with the Lord, at the age of 95, on Sunday, January 10th at 4:08 PM. She was a resident of the Peter Becker Community and a former resident of Columbia Cottage in Collegeville, PA. She previously lived in Clifton Heights, PA for a number of years.



Myrtle was born in Philadelphia, PA; the daughter of Charles Bartels and Myrtle Heinbach who predeceased her. She was the second oldest of eleven children. Nine children are deceased: Viola Tucci, Charles Bartels, Ralph Bartels, Robert Bartels, Albert Bartels, Catherine Polizzano, Dorothy Friedel and Dolores Amato and is survived by two sisters, Virginia Girard and Patricia Sharpe.



Reception of friends by family will be held at Covenant United Methodist Church in Springfield on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 10:30-11:00 AM , followed by her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
