Nancy H. Figueira

Nancy H. Figueira, 76, of Brookhaven, PA, passed away on November 11, 2022. 

Born in 1946, in Pittsburgh PA, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Elsie Hawkes.

She spent her childhood in Hawaii, a place where she continued to have a deep connection to its culture and locale, and later in California.  Upon graduating college, she joined the U.S. Navy and honorably served during the Vietnam War.  

Nancy was a devoted teacher and reading specialist for elementary students in the Penn Delco School District.  She was also a dedicated volunteer at the Indoor Children’s Garden at Longwood Gardens.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Figueira (fiancé Germaine Meyer) and Adam Figueira; sisters, Nita Rayome (Ron) and Marjorie Sakelik (Richard); and four nieces.

At Nancy’s request, no services are planned.
