Nancy L. Guthrie (nee Lambeth), age 75, of Berwyn, PA, passed away on October 10, 2014. Beloved wife of Craig A. Guthrie. Loving mother of Eric Hoyle (Alexandra) and Alison Wallis (Darren). Also survived by her grandchildren Halle, Lyla and Parker, her sister-in-law Judith Lambeth and her children, Kyle Lambeth (Crystal) and Kathy Neff (Scott). Predeceased by her twin brother, Richard Lambeth.
Nancy was born in Greensboro, North Carolina and graduated from Greensboro College. She was an accomplished organist and often played in churches. Nancy moved to Philadelphia in the mid 1960's. While raising her family, she also taught English Literature, volunteered as a Docent in Society Hill, served as the Director of the Philadelphia Branch of the English Speaking Union, and then was the Director of the Women's Board of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). She went on to join the Women's Board as a member, and in 2002, chaired PAFA's major fall funding event, USArtists. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service Monday, October 20, 2014, 11:00 AM, St. David's Episcopal Church, 763 S. Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA 19087. Interment private.
