Nancy Lee Kennedy

Nancy Lee Kennedy (née Brown), 89, of West Chester, PA passed away on July 7, 2022.

Born in Northeast, MD in 1932, Nancy was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Leonore (née Wood) Brown.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family (especially the grand babies). She enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking and was an avid reader and writer of children books. Her best times were spending her summers with family and friends in MD. She loved traveling back to the family homestead that included special areas of Northeast, Elk Neck, Turkey Point, Hanses Point and Elk Neck and Chesapeake Rivers. She loved to retell the family history that went back to the Revolutionary War; and she never missed stopping by her cousin Peter’s restaurant “Woody’s Crab House” when in town.

Beloved wife of the late Peter D. Kennedy; loving mother of William Kennedy (Sandra), Patricia Heath (Robert), James Kennedy (Kathleen), Mary Richmond, Mark Kennedy; devoted “Nan” of Kirrily, Maggie, Colleen, Kate, Rachel, Joseph, Brian, Sean, Jennifer, Kristen, Brayden and the late James Jr.; dear great-grandmother of Kaylee, Vivienne, Juliette and Scarlet.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2022 and to her Funeral Service 11:00 AM at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 610-431-9000. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
