Nancy V. Snyder, age 94, of Media, PA, passed away on August 16, 2023, after a brief illness.

Born in Hartford, CT to missionaries of the Evangelical Reformed Church then on furlough from their decades of service in mainland China between the 1920’s and the 1950’s,  Nancy was the daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Paul V. Taylor, Ph.D., D.D. and  Frieda Fuehrer Taylor.

Nancy was the beloved wife of John (Jay) Daniel Snyder, Jr., with whom she shared 63 years of marriage; the loving mother of John Daniel (Bonnie) and the late David Andrew; the adoring grandmother of Joshua David (Amy), Julianna Dale (Mackie) (Craig), and Justine Danielle (Charmley) (Thomas); great grandmother of Jackson, Artemis, and James Snyder; Teddy Mackie; and Aya, Harper, and Holden Charmley. Nancy, sister of the late Rev. Edouard Henry Taylor, is survived by her sister Jane Esther Slabaugh of Corpus Christi, TX who celebrated her 102d birthday last May and by her nieces Amanda Haas, Margaret Stoner, and Harriet Taylor; and nephews Carlyle and Paul Slabaugh.

Relatives and friends are invited to Nancy’s visitation and memorial service at the Springton Lake Presbyterian Church, 3090 S. Newtown Street Road, Newtown Square, PA; visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and the service at 11:00, on Saturday, August 26, 2023. The interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, 1515 Market Street, Suite 300, Philadelphia, PA 19102 (painnocence.org.), the efforts of which Nancy long supported.
