Neculai Lovin, a beloved resident of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on August 30, 2023, at the age of 75. Born in the picturesque town of Ciuresti, Romania in 1947, he was the cherished son of the late Mihai and Victoria (nee Gorga) Lovin.
Renowned for his skillful dentistry, Neculai had an innate ability to put his patients at ease with his warm smile and gentle demeanor. He embarked on his professional journey by excelling at the Dental School of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, graduating with distinction in 1971. His quest for excellence led him to the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a degree in Dentistry in 1988.
Beyond his dedication to dentistry, Neculai led a life rich in diverse passions. An avid tennis player and skilled skier, he found solace on the slopes and the court. His wanderlust took him on adventures around the world, embracing the joy of travel. Fishing and soccer held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the moments spent engaging in these activities with his four cherished grandchildren.
Neculai's palate was an avenue of delight as he reveled in culinary pleasures, particularly relishing the delectable dishes prepared by his beloved wife. A man of community and compassion, he was deeply committed to giving back to his Romanian roots. As testament to this commitment, he founded The Romanian Professional Society of Philadelphia, a testament to his desire to connect and uplift his fellow community members.
Neculai was the beloved husband of Lidia (nee Ioseb) Lovin; loving father of Miruna Stadler (Adam) and Dan A. Lovin (Sarah); caring grandfather of Nick Stadler, Andrew Lovin, Alexandra Lovin, and Carter Stadler; dear brother of Vasile Lovin (Ionica), Ileana Macovei (Nicolae), Viorel Lovin (Geta), and Constantin Lovin (Mariuca).
Neculai Lovin's legacy will forever be carried forward by the lives he touched, the smiles he crafted, and the memories he created. He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his warmth, his zest for life, and his unwavering love for family and community.
