Neil J. Ferry, III 80, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Havertown, Pa passed away on April 24, 2024
Born December 21, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Neil J. Jr. and Miriam R (nee Drakeley) Ferry.
Neil graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, PA in 1961. After graduation, he served honorably in the U.S Navy from 1961 to 1964 during the Vietnam War and was an electronics specialist aboard the USS Ranger. After his service in the Navy, he worked in electronics for AT&T, Bell Telephone, Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, and Agilent.
Neil was kind, smart and incredibly funny. No one enjoyed a good joke more than Neil. He was an avid reader and had an amazing curiosity for life and knowledge. He was also extremely handy and enjoyed using his telescopes to study the stars and planets. Neil loved his family fiercely and never forgot anyone’s birthday. He enjoyed entertaining. His door was always open to stop by and Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners were always spent on Center Road.

He was the dear brother of Joan Dietrich (Rick), Bill Ferry (Jackie), and Donald Ferry (Debbie). He was predeceased by his brother Geoffrey Ferry.
