Nellie Naoe

Nellie Birog Naoe (nee Birog), age 68, of Havertown, PA, passed away on February 7, 2014. Born in the Philippines, Nellie was the daughter of the late Adolfo and Rosita Birog (nee Bugayong).



Nellie was employed as a Registered Nurse at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia for 23 years and was currently employed there at the time of her passing. She thoroughly enjoyed the nursing profession and was described as a wonderful caregiver and leader. She was a co-founder of the Filipino Nurses Association of Pennsylvania. Nellie was also an active member and former President of the Ilocano Association of Greater Philadelphia. In addition, she was an active parishioner of St. Augustine Church in Philadelphia. She was also an avid ballroom dancer.



Nellie is survived by her son Edgar N. Naoe and beloved daughter Marie Evangeline Niemala (husband John), her beautiful granddaughter Sydney and handsome grandson Cameron, and her adored brother Arturo Birog (wife Lorna).

Nellie's Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Church, 243 N. Lawrence Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106.



A Life Celebration will follow the Funeral Mass at Ruby Buffet, 1100 South Columbus Boulevard, Suite 18A, Philadelphia, PA 19147.



Interment will be private.
