Norman C. Henss, Esq., age 95, of Newtown Square, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on January 27, 2022.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Anna Mae (née Stiver) Henss.
Norman was a graduate of University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He received his Master’s Degree in tax law at Temple University. He was a Philadelphia lawyer and a long-standing member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and a member of the Union League of Philadelphia.
Norman started his legal practice with the US District Attorney’s office where he met his wife, Patricia. For 25 years, he was counsel for The Henderson Group of Media, PA.
Norman’s first love was his wife, children and grandchildren. Being with them and their success and happiness was most important to him. Norman enjoyed the opera and was a connoisseur of fine wines. He especially loved travelling with his family and vacationing on Kiawah Island in South Carolina. Another favorite pastime was discussing politics.
Norman was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (née Burke) Henss; the loving father of N. Charles Henss, Jr. (Matthew Perry), Stephen Henss (Germaine), Richard Henss (Eva), Patricia Eynard (Jean Noel), and Suzanne Henss. He was the proud grandfather of Sean Eynard and Shane Eynard. He is predeceased by his brother, Rudolph Henss.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, 9:00 – 10:00 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by his Funeral Mass, 10:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed beginning at 10:00 AM and can be found at https://www.facebook.com/saintanastasianewtownsquare/videos . Interment Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
