Pamela Bard (Tomey), 55, of Downingtown PA was taken from us suddenly on April 18th 2013.
Born in Chester County in February 1958, Pam is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Rodney Bard, whom she met while employed for several years at Handi-Crafters. Pam is also survived by her daughter Faith Stoltzfus, son Rodney Stoltzfus, and 7 grandchildren.
Pam enjoyed spending time with her sister and best friend Stephanie Gurley, playing with the cats, which she cared for, spending time with her family and preparing big family holiday meals. Pam enjoyed being an active member of "Speaking for Ourselves", an advocacy group for IDD individuals. She advocated for those who needed extra love, care, and kindness, because, like her, they suffered from disabilities. She received many plaques and awards for her work and accomplishments while advocating for other IDD Pennsylvanians with "Speaking for Ourselves".
"Thank you, Mom for being a loving and caring woman. I will miss our time together, and wish we would have had more. I am glad that before you left us we had time to become closer in our relationship. I will miss your sense of humor, and your laugh," Love, Faith Stoltzfus.
Author Unknown, "If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever," Love, Rodney Bard and Rodney Stoltzfus.
Irish Prayer, "Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand," Love, Stephanie Gurley and Olivia Stoltzfus.
