Pasquale J. Monaco (PJ, Pat), age 79, passed away April 17, 2023 at his home in Audubon, Pennsylvania. PJ was born and raised in Philadelphia and later relocated to the Washington DC area where he was a long-term resident of Reston, Virginia and later, Leesburg, Virginia.
He was the loving husband of the late Elizabeth Monaco (nee Panariello). He was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe (Joseph) and Lillian Monaco (nee Brancato), and his sister, MaryAnn Monaco Ciocca (Nicholas J.).
PJ’s decades long career as a government contractor allowed him to work at the Pentagon and other high level government facilities. PJ enjoyed travelling with his late wife, playing golf, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his dogs. Later, he enjoyed socializing and playing bocce with his new friends at Shannondell in Audubon. He was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and rarely missed an Eagles game.
PJ will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews, Corinne M Ciocca, Nicholas C Ciocca (Catherine), Lynne Ciocca Zangara (Jeff), Nina Ciocca, Lily Ciocca, Nicholas P Ciocca, Gasper Ciocca, JP Zangara, Claire Zangara, Matthew Zangara, Nicole Paventi, James Michael Fogerty, Dylan Justin Fogerty. Michael Louis Gonzalez, Jessica Gonzales, and many cousins and friends.
The family will receive guests from 8:45 am to 9:45 am on Wednesday, April 26th at St. Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church in Norristown, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 am. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia will happen at a later date.
