Patria Regina de Castro Luistro, M.D. (nee Luistro), of Drexel Hill, PA, born on September 7, 1933 in Taal, Batangas, Philippines, passed away on March 26, 2016.
After completing her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, she immigrated to the United States for her residency and medical training in Anesthesia. As an Anesthesiologist, she worked at Methodist Hospital in South Philadelphia. After retiring from her medical career, she moved to Southern California. She enjoyed traveling, music, gardening and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Farnacio Luistro and her parents Leopoldo and Juana Luistro. She is survived by her siblings Rolando (Mary), Ariston (Jo), Elsie (Deo), Revo (Francia), Jaime, Gene (Beth), Martin (Gayle), Roseller (Christina) and Leopoldo, Jr. (Maribelle) and her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, April 1, 2016 5:00-7:00 PM and Saturday, April 2, 2016 8:30-9:45 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment will take place in the Philippines.
