Patricia Cunilio

March 17, 1961 — November 11, 2014

Patricia M. Cunilio (nee Larkin), 53, of Rosemont, Pa., passed away at home on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, after a courageous fight,

surrounded by her family.

Born March 17, 1961, at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby, Pa., she was the daughter of the late A. Charles and Geraldine P. (McCarthy) Larkin.

A homemaker, Tricia was the loving wife of Jim Cunilio  and the dear mother of four children: KC Cunilio, Jamie Cunilio, Jesse Cunilio and Charlie Cunilio.

Growing up in the Coopertown section of Haverford, Tricia attended St. John Neumann School, going on to graduate from Archbishop Carroll High School, Class of 1979.  She later took classes at Delaware County Community College.

Tricia was especially proud of her Irish heritage, and always reveled in the fact that her birthday and Saint Patrick's Day were one and the same.  Among her favorite occasions was an annual birthday and Saint Patty's celebration dinner at the former Mile Post Inn in Wayne, or the Old Original Bookbinder's in downtown Philadelphia, with her dad.

Tricia was active in sports before starting her own family. She won a  golf tournament at Llanerch Country Club, where her parents were members and she and her siblings spent considerable time. She also played softball for a number of years in local recreational leagues.  She  took great pride in the athletic accomplishments of her children in Radnor youth leagues, AAU and Radnor High School.

In her free time, she enjoyed reading newspapers and magazines -- especially food related ones -- watching her favorite shows on TV, and spending time catching up with her family and friends, either in person or by telephone.

An animal lover, Tricia was fond of the numerous pet cats and dogs she had through the years. She particularly enjoyed pet-sitting for many of her neighbors in Conestoga Village.

She will always be remembered for her bright smile and love of laughter, her loyalty and generosity, and her willingness to always lend a helping hand to others.

She was resilient in the final weeks of her life and amazed everyone with her positive outlook, sense of humor, energy and insistence that she take care of many of her own needs.

In addition to her husband, Jim, and four children, she is survived by three sisters, Gerry Larkin O'Keefe, Connie Larkin and Terri Larkin; a brother, Charlie Larkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, the late Kathy Larkin McGurk.

A Funeral Mass was held, November 15, at St. Thomas of Villanova.

Internment was at Calvary Cemetary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Tricia's memory be made to the Delaware County SPCA, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063.
